Due to time constraints, I "need" to finish a hike I started in May in Central Virginia. The plan is to slackpack over 3 days, the following sections:

- Wind Rock VA 613 to VA 621 Craig Creek Valley - 24.6 miles
- VA 621 to VA 311 Catawba - 21.4 miles
- VA 311 to US 220 Daleville - 19.8 miles

I'm planning to hike the second weekend in July. I'm in good shape and have hiked 16-18 mile days in this area with a full backpack.

I'm curious to get the feedback of those who know this section on:

1) am I crazy to think I can slack this over 3 consecutive days?
2) water situation in mid-July?
3) random thoughts or suggestions?

It will be hot and humid and water sources start to dry up by then, usually.

If you've got your rides worked out slacking that will be a piece of cake.

Massive amounts of daylight + 5 lb pack = lots of miles

Should be easy enoungh. Pay attention to where to get water.
