2 years before replacing a battery. and I use all 3 alarms every day. I think that shortens battery life. I still have one from the 90s but got a newer one about 5 years ago.

My current one is 9 years old. It has a heart rate monitor, which really kills battery life, but it's been a good watch.

I bought mine 2 years ago, and so far still running just as well as my boss' $75,000 watch.

It lasts longer than that little "keeper piece" on the band does. Timex doesn't sell them separately either which is really aggravating.

I've got well over 2 years on my Ironman. I use the alarm everyday to wake up and I'm also a light sleeper and thus use the indiglo a lot, too. I use the chrono and split timer for running 5X/wk and wash the sweat off it after every run and have had no problems with water. Mine has the heart rate thing but I've only used it once so I can't talk much about if it's good or bad. I also have another Timex with the electronic compass that I use when hiking. Finally, I have a silver Rolex Oyster that just sits in my dresser -- I use my $30 Timex every single day.

2 years on an expidition. had an ironman before that. don't remember how long. replaced the batteries several times, and i'm sure it would work today if i put a new battery in it and i could see through the scratches on the face. the timex bands are crap though, gotta go velcro.

Still wearing the same Timex Ironman watch (50 lap version) everyday that I bought in 1992. I have replaced the band with another official Timex Ironman band and have done numerous battery changes. With battery changes alone, I have probably paid for the watch 4 times over the original price. I still like it a lot.

..it lasted several years without having to change the battery, unfortunately I lost it somewhere along the way. It's one of the only watches I would consider buying if buying another watch.
