After buying an O2 rainsuit (the yellow version) and using it, I found that it kept me dry and was somewhat breathable, but not very attractive. I was worried about it's durability, but it held up well. Recently I went to an REI attic sale and bought an REI Ultralight jacket and pants for much less than retail. It is black and is made out of the "Element" material REI makes a lot of their raingear out of.
Well, it happened. My O2 raingear, disgraced by the fact I bought a new suit, went and melted itself in my dryer. I didn't realize that I picked the heat option, but it was apparent when I pulled it out. It was melted in several places.
Just a word of caution - don't use the heat setting when drying the stuff.
