Howdey everyone well i am over 600 miles in on my thru hike and I am enjoying it but things do become a little boring, so to do somthing different me and a couple friends are thinking about doing the 75 mile section in va on the river. I know very little about it so any information would be great. we are also looking for two cannoes or a couple kayaks if any one has some that I might be able to borrow. I have a nice cannoe but it is in michigan. thanks for any help. please do not turn this into a thread about if i aqua blaze it is not really a thru hike, i feel that is this is what it takes to refresh me and my group and keep us going then it is well worth it for us.
thanks

That's a great section to canoe instead of hiking. Enjoy.

You'll have over 1,100 miles to hike after that. Not sure canoeing alone will keep the show going if you are bored with hiking. May need to re-evaluate why you are doing the trail. But it is a different diversion at least, esp in the long stretch of VA to do just that
