I just recently got a deal on 2 sleeping bag liners. Wondering what people like and use most. Just got the reactor extreme and cool max.

If you toss and turn alot in your sleep like me, you may find liners are more trouble than they are worth. If you are trying to keep your bag cleaner or wanting to extend the rated temperarture, consider a base layer. :)

Exactly what Daddy said. Also the extra silk base layer can be used in a pinch where a bag liner is just that a bag liner, not a multi use piece of equip.

I use a microfleece (100 weight) bag liner that is the same size as my sleeping bag.
I figure it adds 10 deg to the bag.
Allows me to use my old 20 deg bag (which is now probably not as good as it once was with 3 thru-hikes under it's belt) as a 3 season bag.
If it works for you, do it. It's a money saver and sleep saver.
I've had a silk liner for years and love it.

I have a Sea-to-Summit wicking liner and it really does add 15 degrees as advertised. It's been very helpful on hikes where I need more than my 45 degree down bag - both backpacking and overnight cycling trips.

i have always found silk liners easily tear and become worthless...i would use the lightest sea to summit liner that's not silk...
I use long underwear, socks, and a hat. Dual purpose - I can walk around in them at night if I have to, and don't need to (or want to, for that matter) get in and out of them (unlike a liner) and get chilled while going to find the "bathroom" (ie: tree).
