Hi everyone,
I'm planning a trip this summer with a friend to hike green mountain nat. forest, however, I'm having some issues figuring out the logistics with food. Do I take 10 pounds of food with me before entering the park? Do I have food mailed to the shelters?
Sorry if this is an obvious question, this is my first time doing this long of a hike.
Thanks!

10 pounds of food should cover you for 5 days. For a resupply, you're going to have to head into a town. Sorry, there's no postal service to the shelters.

Assuming you're talkng about hiking the AT in the southern part of the GMNF, in which case Bennington, Manchester Ctr and Rutland are good resupply points with full grocery stores.
