(second) best way to get from Erwin to Blacksburg, VA

I live in Blacksburg, VA and I'm planning on doing a section hike from Pearisburg to Erwin. I can get a friend to drop me of at Pearisurg, but I have no idea how to get home from Erwin.

The best option is to turn around and hike back, of course. But realisticly I need a way to get me and my dog home from Erwin.

Ideas?

Damascus is about halfway - I could run you that far for $85 - PM Lone Wolf and see if he'd run you the rest of the way.

Just a thought, and depends on when you're going. I'm usually out of town the first week of every month.
