Hello,
Over the July 4th weekend, my trusty Dicks sporting goods 3 person tent had a zipper malfunction, and I am now looking into repairing or replacing it. Normally I camp with my girlfriend and dog, and all of our trips are less than one week, therefore we like the roominess of a 3 person tent, and aren't overly concerned with a little extra weight. We are more of the "Hike to Camp" variety rather than the "Camp to Hike."
Does anyone have any recommedations about where I could possibly get my old tent repaired (I am in the Philadelphia area), and would it be worth it for a 7 year old $60 tent (it has always kept us dry)?
Does anyone have any experience or insight into the benefits and drawbacks of either the Big Agnes Seedhouse 3 or the Mountain Hardware Drifter 3?
Any other recommendations in the sub $200 range?
