I picked up a pair of Garmont Flash lll GTX. I've never used this brand before but have read good things about them online. They feel great on my feet so far.

Any feedback pos or neg would be appreciated.

Had them for 3 months before the upper developed a sweat spot next to the toe rand, which became a hole in no time at all. they were comfortable, but didnt hold up well at all.

I'm wearing a pair of Garmont boots right now I bought over 2 years ago off an REI closeout rack. I think they're a bit light for what Kittatinny Ridge can dish out, but they cost less and have already lasted more than twice as long as any other work boots I've bought in recent years.

Even though their tread wouldn't pass Pennsylvania State Inspection anymore, I hate to retire them. Never once have I had wet feet while wearing them. Honestly, they were worth more than what I paid for them.

After a little more than 50 trail miles I have a hole where my right big toe is at the seam. Not as much a "hole" but the stitching has come undone. Noticed it about a mile from the AT at Newfound Gap Road in GSMNP. The reason I noticed? My toes were wet after a partial dunking in a creek trail!

Damn it.

I also had a pair of these, and they were very comfortable. Unfortunately, they developed a hole on both boots in the same place where the rubber toe met the leather. It did not just come unglued the leather actually got a hole in it. It was right where the boot flexed right behind my toes. I had only a couple hundred miles on them. And like P train said above I noticed it when my feet were suddenly getting wet. They were very comfortable though.
