Hi,
I am looking for a good 3 seasons sleeping bag. I am tornbetween Montbell ul spiral down hugger #1 and Versalite from Western Mountaineering. What do you guys recommend?
1. What I like about the WM one is that the hood lies completelyflat when you do not use it. From what I see on pictures the Montbell’s hoodseems to be stiffer and it does not spread to be flat but maybe it is just thepictures.

2. WM unzips all the way around and Montbell stops below your knees(16 to 18” from the bottom). Would it be a problem if I want to use it as aquilt when it gets warm enough?

3. I am 5’6”. Which size should I go for?

4. How do I know in general if a bag is wide enough withouttrying it? How many more inches I am looking for (after subtracting the widthof the chest including arms)?

Your input is greatly appreciated.
