copy/paste email from Mount Rogers ATC President:

MRATC will be installing framing and log siding on Thomas Knob Shelter the week of July 25th.
On Monday, we will meet at Massie Gap in Grayson Highlands State Park about 8 a.m. to load a tractor with racks with building materials and tools. A group will be leaving from the caboose in Damascus about 7 a.m.
Materials must be transported via horse trail and unmarked terrain about 4 miles to the shelter site. As soon as enough materials arrive, crews will start the framing. Later in the week, the log siding will be installed. Below is a task list.
Helpers are welcome! It's good to call me and let me know if you are coming and where you would like to meet the group. Some people are camping up there for a few nights during the project.
