Hey all:
I went up the Richard Thompson WMA on Sunday to do some trout fishing. They stock the pond up there from October through June. Unfortunately, despite the sunny weather in the high 50s the danged thing was covered in ice. Ah well, at least I had a chance to drive my XTerra through snow and mud like a juvenile delinqent.

Anyways, I remember someone had once asked where they could fish along the trail. For trout, it's best to hike early in the spring. This is one of those places that there is good fishing within striking distance of the trail.

Also, for thru hikers, The Naked Mountain Winery is only a couple of miles off the trail here :)
