So if I get one of these (http://science.howstuffworks.com/helium2.htm)in 12 foot diameter, I can have a pack weight of 57 pounds, right?

My edit button isn't working.

What I should have said is, I could carry 57 pounds of stuff and have a pack weight of 0 pounds.

Yes, there would be jealousy, but they'd have to catch me first, lol.:D

Couldn't be too hard to find you - you're the one with the barrage baloon strapped to your back! :D

why not do the ultralight thing, but get a massive pack. then get a smaller balloon (makesure it's durable. ) then come crawling into a shelter with all the hikers laughing at you. However, in the morning you skip away... singing...

LOL, I'll fill the bottom of the massive pack with packing peanuts to keep it looking full.
