One of my hiking partners is a pharmacist/pharmacy owner. When he and I hike, I don't pack any painkillers; I simply defer to him. :)
For a very shot time, I hike with him and another friend who was a P.A. Nice arrangement. If needed, the PA could write a perscription, and the pharmacist could fill it all in the back country. Made the whole thing legal. ;)
