Has anyone had any experience with Crazy Creek Hammacks? Looking at the LEX model.

I met a guy in Hot Springs that was using one on a Thru Hike. He either went by Neo or TheOne, I don't remember. I think I heard that he later dropped out. He liked it a lot (Best piece of equipment) and had been walking about 3-4 weeks.
There is a 2002 test series on BGT on the Lex model.

Hey, Sgt Rock, can you be more specific as to why you did not like it? The Hennessey bottom entry makes me a little concerned.

Well the Hennessy bottom is one of the coolest ideas ever, don't let it bother you.
The LEX model had small hoop poles that went in sleeves. After three set ups, these sleeves were falling apart. The sleeve for the pad in the hammock was not as effective as I thought it should be. The strap system was a nice idea, but poorly implemented IMO. There were a lot of tie outs for the tarp (as I remember it) that just got in the way. And for what it was, the weight was way too much.
I have a Crazy Crib basic model that I picked up at a bargain price. After using it a bit, I switched to a Speer. The Crazy Crib was OK - a simple design made from 2 layers of fabric and webbing with buckles on each end (no poles or bug netting on this model). It was heavier than necessary and not as comfortable as a Speer or Hennessey.
