Have you tried Ebay. I got my boots there. I found a pair of lowa boots (new) for $35. They retail for $150.:banana Good luck finding them. Just type in the brand you want or maybe even hiking boot.

I have the same problem. Raichle makes several boots in size 14 and they are generally fairly good, if overkill for me. One of the reasons I switched to trail runners is that lots of companies make size 14 and higher in running shoes. Both Scarpa and La Sportiva make boots in size 48 (some 48.5), which corresponds to about a 14. Try ordering direct from a company rather than through REI or something like that. Many times, it seems, REI carries a particular model, but not in the full size range. For trail runners, about the best I've found is http://www.runningshoes.com

thanks. the real tough part has been the width.new balance makes lots of big wide shoes but still no boots.

Bob,

I too have a large foot and Dunham has been my boot brand for some time. They carry large sizes and wide widths. Here is a link:

Do they have to be boots? I hiked in NB 1122 for 3/4 of the trail and NB 963 for the last 1/4. Worked great.
