Hey guys,

I currently own and love my NorthFace Denali fleece. I am looking to upgrade from my cheapo poncho and get a rain shell. My question is, which northface shell is great alone but will also work with my Denali? I figured the Denali + a shell will not only be nice and water proof but super warm as well. In the Fall and Spring I thought the rain shell might be nice by itself.

I was scoping out the selection at Gander Mountain today and I can get a pretty decent deal on the shell. I just don't know which to go with

I don't wear rain gear, I don't see the point. And everytime I have hiked with someone in their fancy rain gear they don't end up any drier. Either they sweat so much they end up wet or after a while their rain gear stops working.

I just purchased the Venture shell to replace my old Wally World rain jacket. I haven't been out hiking with it yet but it is def. lighter than my old one.

I mostly plan to use the shell to block wind and keep warm and dry in camp at night. Probably won't wear it
while hiking even in the rain.
