Kind of posted this in another topic but decided to make this one. I recently did the Falls Trail in PA, 21 waterfalls or something in 7 or so miles. It was awesome. I recently saw some pictures of these falls in the winter and thought I would love to do this. I have never climbed before with equipment, and never used crampons. What exactly do I need for equipment, what do I need to know or learn and any other thoughts or suggestions. Thanks a lot.

If you are considering actually climbing the frozen falls like Ganoga, you need to go to a climbing school. Learn the basics of alpine travel first, like glacier travel, self arrest, etc. then move on to some technical climbing. Spend the bucks and learn how to do it safely. Not one of those things that can be mastered by trial and error, because the errors can be pretty ugly.
