I'm going to be thru hiking in 2012 and I want to buy a dry bag to store my food and use as a bear bag. I want to hold 4-7 days worth of food in it and I'm wondering how big a dry bag I can get. I know it will probably weigh more than other options but I'm also going to use my dry bag for when I raft and kayak so I want it to work for both. Plus I can get a really good deal.
Thanks

(http://lawsonequipment.com/All-Products/Rolltop-Drybags-p508.html)A cuben drybag isn't any real financial sink and extremly light. I think i have the 12x24 and it can store quite a bit of food especially if you go the dehydrated/freeze dried route.

Well whatever you choose, I would still put my food in ziplock bags inside the dry sack.
