Is Atlanta Aitport the Best choice?

Well? is it? are there other airports, even small ones nearer to Springer or Amicalola? And would it be worth taking the cab.. um i mean shuttle from the Airport or is it best to get on the bus to Gainsville than the shuttle?

16 dollars from the airport to gainesvill if you go Grey Hound, how much would the shuttle be?

Dog- since you're in NYC, you might consider taking the train. It leaves Penn Station about 2 PM and arrives in Gainsville about 9 AM the next morning(it's the train that goes from NYC to New Orleans - check the AMTRACK website for info). Cost should be about $60 - $70 out of NYC. Taking the train worked well for me. I had my pack with me the whole time, didn't have to worry about the rules on shipping stoves, and it was a great way to relax and see the sights. I'm going the same way in March when I go back to Springer.
