I've found a few el cheapo ones but I want one on nice paper and actually looks very detailed.

It's for my office at work.

Can anyone point me to a high quality AT Wall Map?

The strip maps are sort of a pain to find on the AT Store page.

I have the laminated and mounted AT Strip Map (Item No.: #401) as show HERE (https://www.atctrailstore.org/catalog/itemlist.cfm?catid=178&pcatid=0&compid=1&page=4). It's sturdy and impressive. They also carry the cheaper paper strip map (Item No.: #400) if you don't want to spend that much. I think it comes folded--- creases yuk!

Cheers!

spokes, how big is the #401 laminated map?

Just measured it: 48 3/8" X 9 7/8". Mine came with a hanger cord on the back. It's mounted on a smooth particle backer board (painted gloss black on front viewable area) and the actual map is really nicely laminated on the front.

I've given several away to friends as gifts.

The paper strip map that is sold for $3.50 ($2.95 for members) is shipped rolled, in a tube, and has a black border around it. It's designed for hanging on a wall. If you want something nicer, best to go with the laminated, mounted version rather than trying to frame it. Before we had the mounted version, we got a lot of calls from frame shops who ran into troubles trying to make frames for it.

The folded version you may have seen is the official National Park Service A.T. informational brochure, with essentially the same map on one side (but no border), print and photos on the other.

I have mine hanging on a building column that juts right into my otherwise nice office. Looks great!

I've had the flat paper stip map for a while now, which I mounted myself.

I can't wait to get the 3-D single strip map version (#445).
