Has anyone used the steripen? Can it be used as my only waterpurifier on a thru hike?

I was thinking about buying the Jetboil stove. Is the fuel (isobutane) easy to find in the towns off the trails?

Thanks,
Rene

Yes, cannister fuel is easily available in Outfitters and many hardware stores.

JetBoil has a great website at www.jetboil.com, and if you look at the "Cooking and Food" section of whiteblaze, you'll see a recent post about the possibility of getting a Jetboil from the company if you agree to do a prolonged gear test for them.

I've no experience with the stove myself, tho I've heard some very good things.

Try THIS (http://www.whiteblaze.net/forum/search.php?searchid=288247) Whiteblaze search for information. The first thread has some info from JojoSmiley who used it on her hike.

I'd be interested in other user reviews.
