View Full Version : Looking for a hiking budd for a thru hike!
I will be staring a thru hike November 1st, would be nice to find someone wanting to hike. Any information about this hike would be helpfull too.

If you are sure of your approximate start dates you should go ahead and get your permission from the Florida Trail Association (membership required) to cross the Seminole Indian Reservation. The FTA asks that you do that a month in advance.
Plan on taking the western route around Lake Okeechobee, it's the most scenic and the east side has a lot of trail closures because of rebuilding the dyke.

hey. I'm planning on starting the same day with my buddy. He's gonna folllow with to the Reservation. You have a lot to do.. Starting with joining the FTA. I have already done a lot sections and can offer any advice.
