I'm thinking on section hiking the area of the CDT from the top of Berthoud Pass north to Grand Lake. Any good advice on terrain/difficulty level of navigation? I recently hiked from Berthoud Pass to the top of Breckenridge Peak and the trail was very clear, but I'm not sure if it will be that way for the entire duration. Also, if anyone's done this portion of the trail as part of a thru hike or bigger section, can you give me an estimation on total mileage? I've found it's difficult to piece the information together using the .kmv files they have available on the CDT website, and I don't yet have the topos for that area. Thanks!
