Best Section Hike for Mid-Summer 2011

My husband and I would like to spend a week or two this summer on the AT. What would be a scenic and beginner-friendly section of the AT to try?

Shenandoah NP is a good for beginning hikers with plenty of opportunities to also relax and get showers, etc. and eat (though expensive).
