I'd like to try to get back in touch with someone from these early years, is there a place to do that? I don't have a trail name though.......is it possilbe to post a name here and general area where they were from? Just want to follow protocol. :o
I believe Rick Boudrie is from 19AT3 (1983) I'm sure he will see this thread.
Hi, those are hardly early years! In most ways the Trail hasn't changed much at all sine then. Especially for those who really hike thier own hikes.
FWIW, I tried to track down a hiker from 1978 or 1979 once, just to say "thanks" One place I looked was the ALDHA.org membership list. Its on-line, but you need to be a member to get more than a first and last name. Might be worth a try. Only a very small percentage of hikers are members, but you never know.
Of course if the person you are looking for looked like this, give me a call ;)

Thanks Rick, I'll check it out.......no he didn't look exactly like you....but did have red hair - bright red hair! What a great photo, thanks for sharing that!
