I will be in San Antonio, Texas, visiting a friend in Alamo Heights December 1-the last week of February or so. The idea is to escape the hard winter that we have at Sugar Grove, Virginia, for at least this year. If any of you AT hikers are thereabouts, I'd love to meet you. My prep for the AT in March will be mostly walking daily to and from Whole Foods for lunch and working out at Ballys.--Kinnickinic

Hi, Phlox. There is a dearth of AT hikers in Texas, and many who have planned to hike the trail, when they get there, find that they have underestimated it. You seem really dedicated to being out there. If you ever are in SA while I am there, lets get together to talk. Yeah, maybe even to walk. I wish you well.--Kinnickinic
