I know I could probably find this out when arriving, but was hoping to get the answer ahead of time from the good folks here. I've seen a few good pictures of the falls from what looks to be their base but can not find the directions for how to get to a good picture taking spot. Having never been there I hope the answer isn't something as simple as, "open your eyes when you arrive and you can't miss it". That will really making me feel stupid.

Was just there yesterday with extra time on my hands.

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but the answer is that simple. There are numerous points from which to take pics. Many of them are on the 500-600 step stairs on the Base of The Falls Trail.

You have lots of choices.

Yep, best shot of FALLS is from a "viewing stand" after trekking up many stairs....OR you can get another view from atop the falls looking down....theres an access road that is close to the top of the FALLS.

take many photos...& share them with us on WHITEBLAZE.net! :D
