I may do some day hiking on the AT in the Warwick NY area at the beginning of November. Does anyone have recommendations for B&B's in the area that also provide shuttle service?

There are two: Glenwood Mill (ask for Sue) and Apple Valley Inn (ask for Leigh or Lauren). Get details here: http://www.warwickinfo.net/accommodations.html, but they are only about 3/4 mile away. Neither provides an official shuttle service, but they are quite accommodating. Tell them that Peter recommended them.

NJ Transit runs a bus between Warwick and NYC, with stops outside of Greenwood Lake Marina (from where a 1-mile trail runs to the AT at NJ/NY border), in Greenwood Lake (with some B&Bs), at Bellvale Farms Creamery (next to the AT crossing of NY 17A), and outside of Warwick Motel (nothing fancy, but was quite modern inside two years ago). Shortline Bus runs between Harriman, NY, and NYC via NY 17 with a stop at Arden Valley Rd (where the AT crosses NY 17).

One B&B located right in the village of Warwick is the Ashford Cottage, and there is another just outside of town (Sleepy Valley Inn). I will list the websites to each one accordingly below. I would call both owners and mention you are hiking and you need a ride to the trail head (might be easier to just say Mount Peter 17A) as they might provide it for you. I live and work in Warwick so if you are really desperate for a ride PM me with the dates and if its possible we can arrange something.
