Hey Guys and Gals, Read a dozen threads. I hike with a Aether 60 with 35 lbs, but I have my wgt down to 30lbs, maybe a little less, like 27-if I exercise some self control. Think I'm going to dig the Catalyst? I really like the load bearing of the Aether, all on the hips. I'm skeered! Need a push!. Kevin:-?

If your sure your gonna stay below 30lbs. take a look at the Ohm 2.0 Its got the new hipbelt setup. Just got the Circuit in red, really good looking, a little tougher material, excellent product as they all are. I push 35lbs. in the winter thats why I went with this one.

I have an Aether 60 and a ULA Circuit right now...the Aether is clearly the better pack in my view, all things considered. It carries better, fits better, has much better cuts on the hipbelt and shoulder harness, better foams, compression, and the suspension is more active and flexible, etc...BUT it's also about 56 ounces without the lid, where as the Circuit is 38 ounces I believe, a good 18 ounces lighter...and that's substantial. I usually carry the ULA over the Aether, but only because it's lighter. At 27-30lbs 'including' the pack you will be fine in a Catalyst, but if you are used to an Aether I would expect some grips, in particular the shoulder harness and compression, when you go to a ULA.

The Catalyst, Circuit and Ohm 2.0 use the same hip belt. I have a Catalyst and really like it but got a Ohm 2.0 because my load was shrinking.

I have a Catalyst for sale, large torso, medium belt. Just got it back from ULA where they fixed some minor holes. Looks great! Asking $135 including shipping in CONUSa.

My Catalyst is too big, I use my Circuit about a thousand times more.
