it was (is?) going to be sold as a tv series documentary in several parts or something, done by a tv mob. camera1+2 carried a digicam all the way and the tv crew came out and met them all over the place.

mm anyway here is the link... (i will take it down later on so not to abuse their bandwidth)...

Really down to earth depiction of an AT hike. Brought back memories ...especially me wanting a BLT from time to time. I'd like to see the whole video.

Yes, I liked it too. I hope to see it when it is finished.

I find it interesting that the 2 recent docs and this one are all very different. Appalachian Impressions seems to be the educational one. Walking with Freedom seems to be more about the actual trail, the weather, etc. And this one seems to be about the psychology of hiking the trail.

All cool. :clap

brings back alot of memories now thats its been 10 years since my thru-hike.

cant wait to see the whole thing.its the kind of documentary where i would think youd want to see the deleted scenes.cant get enough of the trail i guess...

To save bandwidth I could put it on Bittorrent - if, like, people know what that is and how to D/L it from there. :)

I got bit by a torrent once. Nasty little creatures. They'll sneak up on you and nibble your calves if you aren't wearing gaiters.

I feel your pain, I keep getting to the part after he shaves his head and something happens where I cant wait, or the call waiting thing goes off...grrr..good ol' dial up.

Get a download manager like Gozilla and right click the file and say save target as, then you use the download manager to get parts whenever you are on-line and save it as a file you can view at your leisure later, even when you are not connected.

For some reason I just love watching stories about thru-hikers. I've yet to see an AT documentary I didn't like. http://www.whiteblaze.net/forum/images/icons/icon14.gifhttp://www.whiteblaze.net/forum/images/icons/icon14.gif

Yup me too.
Pretty cool.

A word of advice to others...do not cook and eat in your tents...just a thought.
