looking for female hiking friends

I'm 29, I've lived in VA a year now and love hiking. Have been up to Shenandoah recently with hiking groups, doing about 10 miles a day at the moment but feel I could go further. Would love to start backpacking by next summer - currently reading up on what I need, learning the basics and trying to get together a list of equipment!
Not comfortable going solo so looking for a friendly girl to go hiking with, any experience level, just looking for good company!

I'm near Fredericksburg and so for day hikes i'd rather start with the area between Front Royal and Thornton Gap at the moment. Let me know if your interested in meeting up!

I wish you lived closer - I live in N GA and also hike solo, but I'll need someone when I need to start the overnight trips. Let me know if you ever make it down this way.
