I'm thinking about making a pair from carbon golf club shafts and was wondering if anyone had ever tried to install versions of the quick locks found on most commercial poles while making a pair? Black Diamond sells their fastlocks for around $2 apiece and the 16 mm would just about fit onto most shafts. I figure if I take the Dremel and cut the pole in half, the cut a couple of slots at the end of the piece with the lock to give it some flex, it should work, right?
