I am planning on hiking the Georgia section in April or May. I would love to join up with someone. I am thinking about doing it in 7-9 days. Nice and easy pace and enjoy scenery and wildlife. Let me know if anyone may be interested. I am a 48 yo male and hike most weekends around Louisiana and Texas. Thanks

Good plan Gamekeeper. Don't worry about joining up with someone. There will be plenty of people on the trail in Georgia that time of year.

Do a post on Whiteblaze about two weeks before your hike and more likely there will be others planning to hike the same time who you will be able to hook up with. Even if you don't, you will meet people at the first shelter who you may hit it off with who will continue hiking with you.
Gamekeeper, I've just noticed your post. I live approx. 15 mins from Springer and am always up for a good hike. I'm 58 y.o male, retired and pretty flexible on the date.
Gamekeeper,
I'll be doing Springer to Dick's creek from mar. 27 to April 5th. I'm 64 yrs. old and do @7-12 miles per day. Pm me or give me a call at 770-841-3185 if you're interested in joining me

I'll be doing Springer (including approach) to Deep Gap April 8th to 16th. I'm 26 and also planning about 7-12 miles per day.
