I just got my December issue of the Post Mark Collectors Club Bulletin and was excited, and saddened, to see an article about post office closures near the AT. The article is just a highlight of the full article in the National Parks Traveler from back in August. The post offices mentioned for possible closure are Montebello, VA, Glencliff, NH, Caratunk, ME and Fontana Dam, NC.
Anyway, just thought I'd mention it here to show that even boring old postmark collectors (my daughter's description) are thinking about the impact that closing these post offices will have on hikers.
