I'm going to be doing some hiking in South Central PA in the next week or two and was wondering if anyone could give me an update on trail conditions on the AT. I'll be somewhere south of Boiling Springs, but north of Caledonia State Park. Is there enough snow - or any snow - such that I would need snowshoes or crampons? I can't imagine there is or would be, but just wanted to be prepared.

Any feedback is much appreciated.

I was out the last two weekends and I didn't use any snowshoes. Two weeks ago around the Pine Grove area there were places with maybe 5-6 inches but it certainly wasn't commonplace. Last week I was a little more north of Boiling Springs and I didn't see more than a couple inches in any one place, most of the snow was gone where the sun shines.

Have fun.
