Fresh Vegetables

I am planning a section hike this spring from Springer to Davenport Gap. I am interested to know if there are any good source for fresh vegetables along this section of trail . I thru-hiked in 1992 and there were not many chances to obtain fresh vegetables along the way back then . I am curious to know if things have changed much . I depend on a diet with lots of vegetables and freeze dried doesn't do much for me . Let me know if anyone knows of good sources in this section . Thanks

Hiawasee will have some.
Maybe something at NOC but, don't get your hopes up. (maybe ask in the kitchen)
YOu could hitch down into Gatlinburg from Newfound Gap, they'll have everything but it is very spread out. (not hiker friendly, really)

If I were you, I'd dry my own and send them to yourself.
I've done that successfully on most of my hikes.
