I know it's SoRuck but I'm planning on hiking from Spivy Gap, NC on Friday (1/13) to Allen Gap or Tanyard Gap - just short of Hot Springs this weekend (finishing on Monday morning) and skipping out on the NOC party. My best guess is that I'll do about 5 miles Friday afternoon, about 19 miles on Saturday, about 14 miles on Sunday -- Monday will either be a 7 or a 14 mile day depending on where I shuttle to. I am a former thru-hiker, runner, and hike at a fairly determined pace (not crazy but faster than most section hikers). If anyone wants to go, let me know ..... come on somebody has got to be up for a fun winter jaunt ...... no responses??
