View Full Version : Marmot Sawtooth....how much does it really weigh??

I'm looking into the regular size sawtooth. Some sites say the regular is 2 lb 14 oz while some other sites say the regular is 3 lb 1 oz and others say the long version is 3 lb 1 oz.
Why all the confusion?>?
Does anyone know definitively?

Well the saw tooth is the mens version. the angle fire is the female version and less expensive. it is with in a tenth of a degree on the EN test rating system (warm). the reason its rated 10* colder is that women sleep colder. its a slightly different shape and had down distributed differently. my GF has it. I have the never summer the 0* version of the saw tooth. great bags. My GF has the long version. she is kind of tall. She has had it for years now. She used it to threw the JMT last year. after a washing its as good as new. We have slept out down to 10* on a nice pad and in a tent. lol thank you for all the info, but what about the weight concern in my initial post?
OK My GFs is a womens long and in a stuff sack it apears to be about 3lbs 3oz . it is an old scale, older than me.

Dicks sporting goods sells a Marmot down 600 fill bag called the Aspen Adventurer 15. Its basically the same thing as the sawtooth and slightly lighter. It also has a zipper pocket. Its made exclusively for Dick's and its not on the Marmot website. you can pick it up for $200 or even less if its on sale.
