Tuscalachian Loop April-May 2012

Backpacking on the Great Allegheny Passage, to the C and O Canal Hancock Md Tuscarora Trail S to the AT. Tuscalachian Loop plus AT trail VA. Leaving Mid April after the tunnel opens. Walk 10-20 miles a day. Tent camp mostly shelter hostel occasionaly.

Got a meeting to go to on May 2. So I will be doing the Tuscalachian Loop May-June. Hancock MD S to the AT in Virginia. S on the AT to the VA/TN border. Turn around N to Schuyckill County PA near the Allentown Shelter. Take a few days of to visit family. Then S on the AT to the Tuscarora Trail in PA. S on the Tuscarora Trail to Hancock MD. That completes the loop. I am going to take the C and O Canal and the Great Allegheny Passage to Mckeesport PA. That is my plan and there are Greyhound or Amtrak stations in the area if you wanted to do a section of this trek.
