Howdy, I'm planning a thru-hike for May 2012. I will be graduating college mid May and want to hit the trail soon after (May 20th). Trying to complete the AT in 100 days or less so I'll be going ultralight and hiking around 20+ miles a day. Looking for a good challenge. If interested let me know.

Best of luck starting and maintaining 20+/day!

That's a pretty intense hiking pace to hit the ground and continue with, so you may have trouble finding a dedicated partner. However, you'll pass a lot of different groups as you catch up to people who started earlier, so you won't be alone.

Thanks! I know finding someone to keep a pace like that up will be difficult, at least I'll run into a bunch of people down the road.

I'm not shooting for 100 day finish though, I'm just gonna go and enjoy. 120 to 130 is my estimate. I'll likely see u out there, enjoy!

Thanks, 120 to 130 is a good pace. I'll have to see how I do with all those elevation changes. I'll be the one hauling a Texas flag on my pack.
