Feedback welcome.

Notes:
All clothes included (some will be worn)
Not listed are Leki speedlock poles, and north face trail runners (worn)
?? is for items currently not in pack: obvious reason (ID/visa, etc.), being delivered, planned purchase, or undecided (stove - will be some type of alchy like batch or zelph)
Most weights measured by me. Few taken from manufactures.

Sorry ahead of time for the almost complete list (will it ever be complete?) and feel free to ask for clarification on any item.

looks like a well thought out list. excited to see how the new zpacks' cuben does long term. i have a zero made of the older style cuben (w/o the ripstop integration).

why do you need 2 pairs of running shorts? can probably lose the space blanket.

is that marmot baffin synthetic bulky to pack? think about that when buying your pack (size)

I'm also curious to see how the new cuben does long term. He (Joe) made comments on his website that the lighter cuben would last 1 full trek with fair amounts of repair, so I am hopping the new stuff lasts longer. Otherwise its an expensive pack for being disposable.

I haven't complete decided if I want to take both running shorts. My original logic was to wear one wear while the other drys, but if they dry fast enough when worn it might not be necessary.

I actually just bought the baffin. I was impressed how tightly it was packed when I received it. I'm not sure if I will be able to get it that small again after it puffed out because it doesn't easily fit back in the box it shipped in. I hadn't completely thought about that, so thanks for the feedback.

Hey Spiderdog; I've also bought the Exo for my thru-hike. Have great hopes for it. Had Joe put an extra bar across the bottom to help with stiffness, if I don't like it, I can remove it. Starting on 3/24, maybe see you on the trail. Zigzag

Awesome! My dreams are still set on starting 3/22, but a potential job offer and bum knee may put me off the trail till another time :(. If all goes well though, see you on the trail!

Is there any chance you'll want a footprint or pad for your tent? Tyvek is lightweight and I've found it does indeed make a difference. Plus, it folds into pretty small package.

polycro or sliding glass door insulation is lighter packs way smaller, clear, is totally water proof, much cheaper, and easily patched with duck tape and doesnt absorbe water or dirt.

Instead of Tyvek for the tent footprint? Cool! I'll keep that in mind next time -- thanks!

Interesting, haven't heard of that. I was considering doing this (http://jwbasecamp.com/Articles/Silnylon1/index.html), but I will have to look into polycro further.
