Can you belive it, this 2.7 eathquake hit 8:06 PM last night about 15 miles from my house. I guess that thread about God re-routing the AT might happen in east Tennessee.

An earthquake in Georgia was predicted as a punishment from God. This quake felt in Ga. and Tenn. may have been it, or it might have been just the FIRST RUMBLINGS.

And Mr. Presgrave adds, the minor trembling is no predictor of anything bigger in our future....or is it? :dance

Isn't there something in the Gospels about watching out for people predicting the end times? :-?
Did you feel it? Were the windows rattling and all?

I never felt it, but then again I may have been otherwise engaged at the time.

Maybe, that was the movement they detected, and they just assumed it was an earthquake because of the great magnitude.
I felt quite strongly the 4.9 that shook northern Alabama and Georgia in 2003, so I know what you mean Sgt... it just aint right for the ground to move like that.
If the east coast splits off, would that reduce the number of AT hikers?

That was a truck with an unbalanced load hitting a bump on I-75.
