I'll be flying into Atlanta to start thru hiking. My pack will qualify as carry on. Anyone out there know about restrictions on tent pegs as part of carry on?
Mine are titanium and are about 6 1/4 inches long. Thanks in advance.

All depends on the TSA agent(s). They have a lot of leeway in determining what may or may be a potential risk. I've heard of people who have had no problems with tent stakes and others who did. Typically tools, like screwdrivers, under 7" are allowed, but a tent stake even under 7" could be viewed differently especially if just a round sheephook with a sharp point. BTW, hiking poles aren't allowed either, even if collapsed.

LOL yea i dont think that is going to workout for ya. you can hardly get nail clippers on these days. WE both know they are just tent stakes, but to the TSA they are 6 1/4 inch long DAGGERS OF DEATH !!!
