The weatherman is calling for strong winds across North Carolina today. Wind gusts could reach 55 mph. Y'all be careful if you're on the trail.

I head out in 2 weeks for my Spring section hike to SW VA, with the odd weather patterns and warm winter, wonder what March will be like????

spent last night at Tray mt shelter and the winds were pretty bad. The hike down to dicks creek gap this morning was warm and gusty and I am glad to have checked into the Hiawassee inn for the night. More thru hiker's are starting to bunch up and the trail is getting busier every day.
