What's the best gear swap mail drop to replace the Glencliff PO with when it closes?

I didn't even stop there. I geared up in Hanover--that PO won't close and the Co-op has great groceries.

I loved the co-op in Hanover too. Glencliff was like walking into a Twilight Zone episode.....

You're gonna stop in Hanover so just send your stuff to the PO there. Depending on your pace you're getting your stuff 2 or 3 days earlier. After stopping in Hanover I didn't even go to Glencliff.

If you are the type of hiker that stops at every town then there is a hostel in town that will take your stuff. I'm sure the info is in the trail handbooks.

alot of hikers stop for a night at the hostel in glencliff because they want a work for stay in the whites, but there might be a crowd of hikers around, and they want to try to spread out, for a better chance

I also got a maildrop in Hanover and skipped Glencliffe as a resupply point. I did stay at the hostel though.
