So its been a warm winter, I'm wondering what everyone thinks this means for the summer. I've heard a few people say it'll probably mean more severe thunderstorms in the summer. What are your predictions?

The only thing you can predict about the weather is that there's going to be a lot of it.

My guess is a hot and dry summer. Do you want to attempt a speed record this summer?:),,

If by "pleasant spring weather" for April 4-7 you actually mean over 100 with lows still above 80, then I believe you. And maybe some snow again in the 12-15 range :-P

Did I mention, I think there will be more bugs than normal this summer! This weekend on the FT (in north Florida) already gnats, mosquitos and ticks!

All the locals in these parts are saying the same thing...due to the warm winter, get ready for a very buggy summer. :)

Hopefully all the black flies hatch out super early and my hike will be less... slappy :D

The mountains are supposed to be wet and cool in the summer - I really hate climate change - it scares me more than most things

- I really hate climate change

I like it when it changes hourly.

You must be from Ohio!

That kind of reminds me of an old saying we have around these parts... "If you don't like the weather here in Missouri... LEAVE!"

Actually, I'm not entirely sure that's how it goes... :) Something about waiting a minute? I like my version better.

What are your predictions?

A lot more bugs that didn't get killed off by cold weather.

A lot more bugs that didn't get killed off by cold weather.

I've heard this alot and always believed it but if that is true, why so many biting bugs in Alaska?

I've heard this alot and always believed it but if that is true, why so many biting bugs in Alaska?

Because they live in Alaska. The wildlife there is adapted to a very different climate than the continental US. Greater threshold for cold.
