I thought for sure spokes would bash you on this and then tell you to use two mm nylon cord which could be use to hang your bear bag and dry your clothes.

Thanks for being a good sport. If you're on the trail this year, ill be bring the nylon cord because of your suggestion and bracelet because of my grandfather.
This is the second time in as many posts that I have to thank Spokes for the link, the first being compass navigation, which BTW I'm slowly learning with the help of the videos, a book, and my brand new Suunto A-10.
