We are working to set up summer programs for visitors at the AT Museum in Pine Grove Furnace State Park.
These programs take place on Sundays between 2-4 pm from Apr 21 to Sep 30... We are looking for presenters who would like to share some expertise or knowledge that would be of interest the general public.

Even though the Museum is on the Appalachian Trail, many of the folks who visit there often just see the open door and walk in and they are not looking exclusively for AT stories. We've had presenters who spoke on the A.T., who play instruments, who talked abt the Pine Grove Furnace area, the American Chestnut tree, the orogeny of the Appalachians, the geology, the Plants and trees, Bears, Rattlesnakes, dancing stickman. pioneers of the Trail, Iron-making, hiking stick carving, children's book readings, AND something uplifting for the disabled....We WANT THEM TO LEAVE FEELING UPLIFTED AND EAGER TO RETURN .........If you would like to be a presenter (or know someone who would) please send an email to the following address with your basic idea for a presentation...remembering that children will be present. [email protected] and leave your information, name, address, phone#'s, email address, topic, items you may need.

The pay is the highest in the whole USA... a great feeling that you've inspired someone to love and appreciate the outdoors.

Please understand that we already have some dates filled and we have a limited number of Sundays. If we cannot schedule you this year we will keep your information for the following year.

Thanks everyone,
