Heading off to ATL tomorrow, HH will pick me up thursday and i will hit springer friday. Fully loaded im at 25lbs, probably could have shaved it down a little... this is cold weather gear and i plan to shed lbs as the weather warms and i find my groove... anyhow, thanks for the input... knowlege is useless unless put into action. much appreciated
25 lbs, fully loaded, food and water? That is great! It sounds like you have done your homework and are prepared to go the distance. Good luck. Just one thing, toss in a Snickers bar and have it when you get up the approach trail to the stat. You will thank me :).

I'm leaving NY tomorrow also but won't be hitting Springer until Saturday or Sunday. Perhaps our paths will cross. Good luck with your hike.
